The joint module is the heart of a robot, connecting all its components and enabling flexible movement and motion control. Through continuous innovation and breakthroughs, we have successfully addressed two long-standing challenges in the robotics industry. An ideal joint module enables multi-axis linkage of the articulated arm, enabling humanoid robots to perform human-like movements such as rotation, lifting, and multi-directional bending. Therefore, compact, lightweight, high-torque, and high-precision joint modules are central to a robot's value.
Industry Challenge 1: Multiple Module Specifications
Currently, a robotic arm requires at least seven joint modules, each with different torque requirements. Module size increases from the wrist to the shoulder to meet varying torque requirements. Each module must be independently designed and manufactured, resulting in a wide variety of product types and specifications, wasting resources and increasing production management complexity. This leads to high joint module costs, posing a significant obstacle to the realization of humanoid robots.
To fundamentally address this issue, WINTEC's engineering team conducted extensive research and practical experiments, daring to propose an innovative combination of reducer and motor. If this solution is widely adopted, it is expected to promote technological innovation and structural optimization, bringing new impact and changes to the robotics industry.
1. Innovative solution: reducing module specifications
This will drive a new round of changes in the robotics industry.
The common sizes of robot joint modules range from 50mm to 140mm in diameter. After repeated research and practical verification, WINTEC has proposed an innovative reducer and motor combination solution:
01 Use 52mm diameter instead of 50mm and 60mm.
02 Replace 70mm and 80mm with 70mm diameter ones.
03 Replace 110mm and 120mm with diameter 108mm.
2. Structural optimization: perfect combination
Structural optimization significantly improves the robot's torque density ratio. Compared to mainstream modules, WINTEC's new joint module is smaller, lighter, and more powerful, allowing for replacement of the same size with different specifications.
3. WINTEC: Precision Manufacturing
The combination of high torque density and flat profile reflects WINTEC's four years of achievements in servo motor manufacturing.
Our products benefit from over 20 years of advanced manufacturing management experience. By utilizing shared components, we've reduced joint module specifications, effectively lowering procurement and inventory costs, thereby controlling production costs. This has significantly contributed to cost reduction and efficiency gains for many robotics R&D and manufacturing companies, and is expected to become a milestone in the development of the robotics industry.
WINTEC will continue to strive for excellence in the refined technology of joint modules, strive to break through import barriers, and contribute to building an outstanding humanoid robot company.
